Bethea Retirement Community: Registered Dietician

Bethea Retirement Community has a great opportunity for a full time Registered Dietician. The RD will serve as the clinic coordinator for our skilled nursing facility, complete assessments, care plans and progress notes. They will also have an opportunity to provide education for our Independent Residents and participate in menu planning with our residents.

Bethea Retirement Community is a Continuing Care Retirement Community with Independent Living Cottages, Independent Living Apartments, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. Last year we moved into our new skilled neighborhoods (Household Model). Bethea also offers inpatient and outpatient rehab and an aquatic wellness program. Bethea also has a Primary Care Office located on campus that is open to residents, staff and families in the surrounding communities of Florence and Darlington.

 The Dairy Alliance: Manager of Community Wellness

Home office position based in SC or GA

The Health and Wellness team of The Dairy Alliance is seeking a full-time Manager of Community Wellness. This position will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing The Dairy Alliance’s Community Wellness Outreach program in alignment with the Unified Marketing Plan (UMP), and in cooperation with the Director and Assistant Director of Community Wellness. This position will leverage partnerships to increase dairy sales and/or build trust for dairy with health professional, academics, scientists, and foodservice/retail dietitians. The person in this role will serve as a subject matter expert on dairy nutrition and work with a variety of audiences to support dairy’s place in dietary guidance by demonstrating dairy’s essential role in protecting public and planetary health.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field from an accredited college or university, master’s degree preferred. Registered or Licensed Dietitian required. Experience in the nutrition, education, or public relations field a plus. Ability to work independently based from a home office located in either South Carolina or Georgia. Travel is required in assigned states and occasionally in surrounding southeastern states. Good communication and people skills are essential.

We are looking for a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to provide nutrition education and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for the University community, including students, faculty, and staff. The main focus of this position is to provide clinically appropriate nutrition education and MNT toward the collaborative management of eating disorders and MNT for medical disorders including diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders, and other medical nutrition disorders, as well as weight management counseling that utilizes a non-diet approach and health-at-every-size model. The RD/RDN will participate in weekly eating disorder consultation team activities and serve on collaborative teams within Student Health Services (SHS) to provide effective nutrition services within our Patient-Centered Medical Home. This position works collaboratively within the Healthy Campus Initiatives of Student Health Services and with campus and community partners toward strategic campus goals for healthy eating. Duties may include but are not limited to: one on one MNT, group nutrition appointments, mindful eating education and outreach opportunities across campus. This employee will research and provide educational/prevention nutrition information for SHS providers and health educators and serve as a resource for student interviews if time permits.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, nutrition education, or other related area and 1year experience in a clinical, public health or institutional setting; or a bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, community nutrition and 3 years’ experience. Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian in South Carolina or eligible to become registered and licensed. CPR/BLS certified or ability to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications: Eligibility for registration to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Knowledge and experience in working with sports nutrition, eating disorders, clinical nutrition and chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, celiac, Crohn’s, etc.). Experience working within a college health setting.

Job Summary
