Linda Arpino, RDN, CDN, FAND

Linda Arpino, RDN, CDN, FAND is CEO of her Nutrition Practice: Life Focus Nutrition, LLC.  She specializes in Chronic disease prevention, dyslipidemia, neurological disorders and obesity in both pediatric and adult populations with plant-based nutrition focus. She earned her Master’s degree in Nutrition Education and Community Nutrition from New York University and a fellowship in Leadership in Education of Neurological Disorders from New York Medical College/ Westchester Institute for Health.  She serves as delegate for the Vegetarian Nutrition Practice Group and is the lead author for AND’s Nutrition Care Manual creating vegetarian menus for all client education materials. As part of an AND evidence- based analysis work-group project evaluating MNT effectiveness, she is the co-author of “Clinical for Management of Dyslipidemia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.”  It was published 8/18 in the Journal of Clinical Lipidology. With 40 plus years of experience, she has been active in reimbursement as chair of ANDS Coding and Coverage committee and co-author of EALs Healthy Children Guidelines and Pediatric Weight Management guidelines. She currently is focusing on sustainable food systems that engage professionals to foster new strategies in nutrition education and plant-based food delivery which will not only benefit chronic disease prevention but our planet. She is also an animal advocate for the Human Society and Mercy for Animals on humane farming methods.  Because of Linda's diverse cultural population in her practice she is savvy in creating recipes, nutrition education handouts and behavior change guidelines that sensitive to individual needs.
